NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-27 March 2001-Copenhagen Airports is preferred bidder for 49% stake in UK airport(C)1994-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The Danish airport operator Copenhagen Airports A/S has been declared the preferred bidder for a 49% stake in the UK's Newcastle International Airport Ltd.

Negotiations are said to be underway and Copenhagen Airports is expected to make its final decision whether or not to proceed with a public-private partnership towards the end of April 2001.

A deal between Copenhagen Airports and Newcastle International Airport would include a long-term technical services agreement.
