Copa Holdings reports passenger traffic figures for December 2006.

Panama's Copa Holdings SA (NYSE: CPA), and its Copa Airlines and AeroRepublica operating subsidiaries, has released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for December 2006.

The company said that the consolidated available seat miles (ASMs) increased by 18.3% in December 2006 compared to the same month a year earlier. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased 24.7%, resulting in a load factor of 75.5%, a 3.9 percentage points increase as compared to 2005.

Copa Airlines' RPMs for December 2006 increased by 30.0% while ASMs increased 24.1%. This resulted in a load factor of 79.4%, an increase of 3.6 points compared to December 2005.

AeroRepublica's RPMs for December 2006 increased 6.7%, while ASMs increased 2.6%. AeroRepublica's load factor for the month was 62.6%, a 2.4 points increase.
