Coors appoints Crown, Inc., for its Southern California merchandising.

Crown, Inc., of Cerritos, Ca., has been appointed by the Coors Brewing Co. to provide supplemental retail chain merchandising support for its distributor network in Southern California.

Crown president, allied companies Don Gustafson and Harry Parsley, vice-president and general manager, were joined by Coors regional accounts manager Mike McGhee and Pete Betka, South West division manager, in making the announcement.

McGhee said the "additional support Crown will give to our distributor network will enhance the service we currently provide to the retail food and drug trade."

Crown has experience in both two-tier and three-tier merchandising situations. "We are pleased to be the broker named to partner with Coors in their largest market," Gustafson said, "and we look forward to to working with one of the top distributor organizations in the country."
