Cool escape. (Travel Tips).
Nestled among the maple, oak, and hemlock trees of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley, these cabins offer a perfect escape. Waterfalls, wildlife, cookouts, and more invite you to simply get away.
Skyline Hideaway currently offers two cabins, The Chalet and Hemlock Hollow. The Chalet was built in 1996, and Hemlock Hollow opened in fall 2002. Both are custom-built log homes on a secluded mountain near Stanley, Va. The cabins offer an opportunity to hike, bird-watch, and explore the valley's natural splendors.
Enjoy breathtaking views, abundant wildlife, and relaxing privacy in these log cabins. Imagine sunsets and barbecues on the spacious deck. On cool evenings, cozy up to one of the two gas fireplaces.
Hemlock Hollow is universally accessible and includes a ramped entrance, wide doors, roll-under kitchen table, accessible-height counter and sink, transfer seat to a two-person whirlpool tub with hand-held shower, and an overall open floor plan.
This one-level structure is nestled in a beautiful secluded wooded setting, minutes from the Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, and attractions in Luray, Va. The cabin has two bedrooms with queen-sized beds, a gas fireplace, and a large front porch. It features a full-sized kitchen and dining area. The roomy porch overlooks a nearby stream and is perfect for bird-watching.
