Convict planned torture.

A THUG threatened to torture and murder a woman he blamed for him being jailed.

William Ellis originally hatched his plan from behind bars and later penned a graphic 200-page letter vowing to kill her for betraying him.

Ellis was caught when police bugged his phone.

The 49-year-old faces a lengthy jail term after he admitted at the High Court in Glasgow to a charge of conspiracy to abduct and assault.

Ellis, of Bo'ness, West Lothian, was sent back to jail in March 2005 when his licence was revoked.

The court heard two inmates were worried about threatening letters he wrote.

On his release in June last year he formed a plan to incapacitate her with a stun gun then handcuff her.

She would then be forced to drink alcohol and take drugs while listening to a CD of songs including Akon's Lonely.

Ellis has a long list of previous convictions. Judge Lord Matthews adjourned the case until April.
