Converting/slitting. (Equipment).

This company specializes in the design and manufacture of converting equipment for web formed products to be installed at different steps of a production process. With more than 100 machines in production among the major tire builders, the company also supplies slitting equipment used in the stock preparation process. Because of their modular design, machines can be adapted to plant capacities and types of products, including passenger tires or light truck tires. In the first step, the Orion wide slitter converts calendered rubber components (nylon, cap ply, gum-strip, bias textile). In the second step, the Aquila narrow slitter fitted with traverse winders converts the secondary rolls to continuous strips as narrow as 10 mm. (Calemard)
