Conversion candidate on the block.

Two contiguous, pre-war, elevatored apartment buildings at 15-19 West 55th Street in Midtown Manhattan (just steps to 5th Avenue) are currently on the market at a sale price of $64,000,000. Massey Knakal Realty Services and Mark Zborovsky & Company, Inc. are the co-exclusive sales agents.

The buildings are located on the north side of West 55th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, across the street from the Peninsula Hotel and blocks from Trump Tower and Plaza Hotel. The combined buildings total approximately 80,513 s/f, with an additional 19,908 s/f of air rights. The current configuration includes 64 apartments--44 free market, 17 rent stabilized and three rent controlled.

Small building floor plates are excellent for combining apartments to produce luxury homes ranging from approximately 2,200 to 4,000 s/f. Of the four current retail units, two are restaurants.

"15-19 West 55th Street would make a tremendous Midtown condominium in an attractive, walk-to-work neighborhood," said Massey Knakal Partner Shimon Shkury.
