Continental flavour in town.

HUDDERSFIELD'S biggest beer festival is back and this time it's going international.

Huddersfield Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) holds its annual Oktoberfest Beer and Cider Festival at The Sikh Leisure Centre, Springwood, from Thursday to Saturday.

The festival includes 90 real ales from around the UK and, for the first time, a bottle bar with a selection of fine brews from abroad.

The bottle bar, run by Hand Drawn Monkey Beer Shop, Wood Street, will include a wide range of ales from continental Europe and craft beers from the USA.

Closer to home, there will be ales from Huddersfield's many breweries including the Rat and Ratchet, Chapel Hill, Magic Rock, Oakes, The Nook, Holmfirth and Mallinsons, Lindley.

There will also be real ciders and perries from across the country and a 'breweriana' stall selling brewing gear and merchandise.

Entry is PS10 (PS8 for CAMRA members and students) including a glass and a PS5 beer token. For more information visit: www.huddersfieldoktoberfest.co.uk
