Continental Airlines to share profits with employees.


Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) has announced that it is to distribute USD158m in profit sharing payments to employees at more than 200 locations across the globe.

The airline said that the cheques will be distributed on 14 February and represents the second consecutive year that the company will be sharing profits with employees.

Continental's chairman and CEO, Larry Kellner, will reportedly hand out profit sharing cheques at the airline's New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport, while the carrier's president, Jeff Smisek, will distribute cheques at its Houston hub at Bush Intercontinental Airport and other Houston locations.

In addition other Continental executives will distribute cheques throughout the Continental system, including Los Angeles, Orlando, Salt Lake City, London, Mexico City and Tokyo.
