Contemporary Welsh art a highlight at antiques fair.

A LONG-RUNNING antiques fair returns to Carmarthen Showground next weekend.

Now into its 16th year, the Antiques and Collectors fair will see a few new faces among its regular attendees.

Among the new dealers is AJ Art, promising an interesting selection of Welsh art covering works by some contemporary Welsh artists.

This includes some striking Welsh views by David Barnes, who will be at the fair next Saturday.

Meanwhile, an excellent selection of scent bottles will be on offer from another newcomer from the west country.

The Carmarthen Antiques & Collectors' Fair takes place next Saturday and Sunday at the Carmarthen Showground. The fair is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Admission is pounds 3.50 with free parking.
