Consumers Send Banner Ads Via Text Message Using TexTango[TM].

New Service Pays Consumers for Sending SMS Text Messages with Ads Attached

SAN DIEGO -- Mobile application developer, TexTango, announced today the release of the patent-pending alpha version of TexTango software for the BlackBerry[R], allowing users to send SMS text messages with banner ads from their BlackBerry to any mobile phone or device. Future versions of the software will include applications and support for all mobile smartphone devices, including iPhone, Android and others.

TexTango users who send SMS messages with the banner ads attached during the alpha test will initially be entered in a sweepstakes to win a new 2010 Smart[R] car, and other valuable prizes such as iPads, tickets and even a shot at the TexTango online Hall-of-Fame! In future versions of the product, users will be compensated directly and indirectly for sending SMS messages with the TexTango application.

TexTango's Chief Operations Officer, Allan Lees, said, "We are very excited to introduce this new twist on mobile advertising and consumer communications, utilizing the consumer-to-consumer SMS message to deliver advertising. TexTango creates a revolutionary and credible new point-of-engagement for brands and consumers that was not previously available."

The TexTango SMS banner ad network's first advertisers by design also include a number of charitable nonprofit organizations: UNICEF, Rady Children's Hospital and America's Toothfairy.

For the past two years, TexTango's developers have been working on a proprietary method of attaching banner advertisements to SMS text messages that would seamlessly integrate with all carriers, devices and software platforms, and not raise objections from the FCC or the carriers, or the mobile device manufacturers, or the consumers who will both send and receive the advertising.

The world's largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS.
