Consultations on background paper of government programme kick off.

(TAP) -- The meetings of the joint committees between the parties involved in the consultations on the background paper of the government programme started on Tuesday, under chairmanship of Prime Minster-designate Elyes Fakhfakh.
According to a post published on Fakhfakh's official Facebook page, the talks will be held in two sessions. The morning session gathers Ennahdha movement, Democratic Current party, Echaab movement and Tahya Tounes.
According to TAP journalist on the spot, the morning session recorded the absence of representatives of the Al Karama Coalition, following Imed Dghij's rejection to take part in consultations. His name was not on the guest list, the same source added.
Yosri Dali and Abdellatif Aloui of Al Karam coalition were invited to the consultations.
The afternoon session will gather representatives of Machrou Tounes, the Republic Popular Union, Nidaa Tounes, Al Badil and Afek Tounes.
The background document focuses on five main axes, related notably to the principles of the government action, the implementation mechanisms and the economic and social priorities for the current period as well as the government composition.
