Construction begins on fiber optic network

Metropolitan Fiber Systema (MFS) of New York, Inc. announced it is nearing completion of its midtown Manhattan fiber optic telecommunications network and that it has signed a 20-year lease for its midtown Manhattan network operations center. The company also has begun construction of its New York City network expansion into Brooklyn to be completed later this year.

Headquarters for the MFS of New York midtown network are in the Tower 45 building, located at 120 West 45th Street and managed by Feldman Realty and Management Corp. This premiere location will serve as the operations and sales center for the 3,300-fiber-mile network, which will begin service in midtown Manhattan in late July.
