The meeting of the Constitutional Council took place in Bishkek on Saturday. Constitutional Council Chair Omurbek Tekebaev and acting Justice Minister Aida Salianova outlined the changes incorporated into the draft of the Constitution by the Interim Government on Thursday. The closed procedure of introduction of changes without approval of the Constitutional Council caused criticism of several human rights defenders.Omurbek Tekebaev and Aida Salinova said that most changes were editorial.
