2 July 2019 - Canada-based software and services provider Constellation Software Inc. has acquired California, US-based performance marketing software provider CAKE, to strengthen CAKE's innovation in performance marketing software and solutions for affiliate marketing, lead generation and multichannel marketing, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition increases CAKE's reliability and scalability to create new global revenue opportunities for customers. CAKE said plans to leverage the investment by Constellation to build out its product roadmap and go-to-market execution.

Key areas of investments include CAKE's infrastructure, support mechanisms and engineering.

Constellation acquires, manages and builds industry-specific software businesses which provide specialised, mission-critical software solutions that address the particular needs of its customers.

With over 125,000 customers in more than 100 countries and a proven track record of solid growth, Constellation has established a broad portfolio of software businesses.

CAKE empowers more than 500 advertisers, networks and publishers to manage, measure and optimise their digital marketing campaigns, in real-time. Established in 2010, the company specialises in providing solutions for affiliate marketing, lead generation and multichannel marketing that create new revenue opportunities for CAKE customers worldwide.
