Constant-dollar inventories, sales, and inventory-sales ratios for manufacturing and trade.

Tables 1,2, and 3 present constant-dollar inventories, sales, and inventory-sales ratios, respectively, quarterly and monthly. Table 4 presents quarterly constant-dollar fixed-weighted inventory-sales ratios, i.e., ratios obtained by weighting detailed industry ratios by 1972 sales. Table 5 presents monthly inventories for manufacturing by stage of fabrication. Quarterly estimates for 1959 to 1981 were published in the November 1981 SURVEY OF CURRENT BUSINESS. Quarterly estimates for 1980 to 1983, and monthly estimates for 1983 were published in the September 1983 SURVEY.
