About Consolidated Thompson

Consolidated Thompson is an iron ore exploration and development company which is developing the Bloom Lake iron deposit located in Northern Quebec, Canada, on the south end of the Labrador Trough. The Bloom Lake deposit is situated approximately 10 km north of the Mount-Wright iron mining operation of Quebec Cartier Mining Company. The Company has approximately 15 million shares outstanding and trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol "CLM".

On November 7th, 2005, the Company announced the results of a Scoping Study ("the Study") on the Bloom Lake Iron Ore Deposit completed by Mr. Patrice Live, Eng. and John Dinsdale, Eng. of Breton Banville & Associates ("BBA"), all qualified persons under National Instrument 43-101. The study is available on SEDAR. The Study was based on an output scenario of 5 million tonnes of iron concentrate per year. The level of accuracy of the study is considered to be +/- 30% with order-of magnitude capital and operating cost estimates. The Scoping Study assumes that Commercial production would commence in 2008 and would continue for 20 years out of a total mine life of 40 years. The following results were obtained on a pre-tax basis:

- Internal Rate of Return: 45.4% - Net Present Value @ 5% discount: $US 582.5 million - Payback Period: 2.5 years

A full bankable feasibility study is in progress and is expected to be completed mid March, 2006.

Further, the company announced on February 22nd, that it has appointed The Hon. Brian V. Tobin as Chairman of the Board, and Bernard Wilson as a Director. The release is available on SEDAR or on the company website at www.consolidatedthompson.com.
