Consett hopeful.

CONSETT are hoping that the better weather remains and allows tomorrow's FA Carlsberg Vase tie with Traff ord to go ahead.

Frost and snow caused the postponement on three consecutive Saturdays and manager Kenny Lindoe was no doubt pleased that his side got a game under their belts at Tow Law Town on Boxing Day.

Mattie Moffatt and Stephen Johnson earned the Steelmen a hard-earned victory which keeps them second, just two points behind ANL First Division leaders Durham City.

Tomorrow Consett turn their attentions to the glamour of the Vase. Victory will see them travel to Poole Town on January 19.

Only two other ANL clubs are still involved and both have home advantage.

Whitley Bay meet Long Buckby while Dunston Federation host Shrivenham.
