Conservative values are movie staple.

Moviegoers still prefer films with strong conservative content or values over those with liberal or leftist values, by about a four-to-one margin, according to an annual survey taken by Movieguide.

Motion pictures with strong pro-American, patriotic, capitalist, antisocialist, anti-Communist, and antistatist content and values make much more money per film than those with strong anti-American, anti-patriotic, welfare statist, Marxist, secular, atheist, leftist, radical feminist, and/or very strong perverse content or values reflecting an anti-human view.

In fact, movies with conservative values and content made almost four times as much money in 2013 as those with liberal, leftist, or statist values and content, averaging $90,680,000 per film versus $23,940,000 per leftist picture.

"Movies with more conservative values not only do better in the U.S., they do better overseas," points out Ted Baehr, founder of Movieguide. For example, 60% of the top 10 movies overseas in 2013 had strong conservative values, but none of them had any strong liberal, leftist, or politically correct content or values.

"The success of conservative values in 2013 was no mistake. It's been true ever since we began doing our political analysis 12 years ago."

Baehr notes that the "vast majority" of the world's 7,200,000,000 people are religious, not secular, with about 2,380,000,000 people saying they are Christian; about 1,660,000,000, Muslim; 1,000,000,000, Hindu; and 514,000,000, Buddhist.

"People want good to overcome evil, justice to prevail over injustice, and liberty to conquer tyranny," Baehr stresses. "They respond to strong heroes and even strong heroines, but they are turned off by radical social engineering schemes and big government programs full of faceless bureaucrats."
