Connectyx Technologies takes over USA Medical Monitoring Services.
17 September 2012 - Connectyx Technologies Holdings Group Inc, a US-based provider of business intelligent software tools for the healthcare market, said on Monday it had taken over privately-owned firm USA Medical Monitoring Service LLC for an undisclosed price.
The deal stipulates the acquisition of USA Medical Monitoring Service's all assets and liabilities, including its customer accounts, inventory, website, marketing materials and contracts.
USA Medical Monitoring Service, which is based in Delray Beach, Florida, is a company offering personal emergency response systems and services (PERS), allowing users to contact with emergency response experts, a family member or a friend on a 24-day basis by pushing just one button. According to estimates by Frost and Sullivan, the PERS sector generated USD963.9m (EUR734m) in revenues in 2010, up 15.2% in annual terms. The market is expected to stage an annual growth rate of 10.4% on average between 2010 and 2017when is seen reaching USD1.86bn.
The addition follows Connectyx's efforts to find a partner in the segment to complement its In Case of Emergency membership benefit programme, CEO Ronn Schuman said. The deal is seen to provide substantial value to both its members and shareholders, he added.
