Conferences must go on; Yousay IN YOUR OPINION...

A FORTNIGHT ago the Conservatives cancelled their annual Welsh conference, which was due to be held this weekend in Llandudno.

Just because the Tories could not get enough people to come to their Llandudno conference is no reason why all the other parties should do the same.

Conferences are important to discuss policy and hold elected officers to account. The wrong policies cost political parties dear - tuition fees, 10p tax and Poll Tax spring to mind.

Added to that, when Welsh Labour meets in Cardiff this month, there will be many hotels and restaurants mighty glad of the extra business.
