Concert at the Cabin in Schaumburg brings music and nature together.

Music and nature lovers unite at a unique concert setting for Schaumburg Park District's Concert at the Cabin.

Concert at the Cabin, sponsored by the Spring Valley Nature Club, is set for 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at Spring Valley, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. A wagon shuttle will be available to transport attendees from the Nature Center to Merkle Cabin.

The Spring Valley Community Concert Band will kick off its performance at 5 p.m. under the shelter on the grounds of Merkle Cabin.

"Spring Valley's beautiful scenery makes Concert at the Cabin an enjoyable and peaceful experience," said Dave Brooks, manager of conservation services. "Attendees will experience the smooth music of the band, with a backdrop of nature's symphony accompanying it."

Attendees may bring food, lawn chairs and blankets. Picnic fare and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission is free. Call (847) 985-2100 or visit
