TELECOMWORLDWIRE-21 October 2008-Compuware connects doctors electronically in Michigan(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR), a provider of solutions for critical business systems, and Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) announced on Monday (20 October) that Covisint, a subsidiary of Compuware, will electronically connect doctors across the state of Michigan in the US via MSMS Connect.

Covisint's MSMS Connect will reportedly enable secure messaging, including patient-specific information from physician-to-physician.

This partnership is reportedly the first network sponsored by a state-wide medical society that connects multiple physician organisations in the US.

The company said that the MSMS Connect network is designed to improve the delivery, security and efficiency of healthcare by delivering access to and the use of technology among physicians.

Physicians need only to sign-in once to have secure access to applications providing clinical and administrative information, including labs, ePrescribing, pharmacies, patient registries and other data. Financial details of the partnership were not available.
