Compounding lines are used for TPE production.

To meet the ever increasing demand for crosslinked thermoplastic elastomers used in tailored products, a manufacturer has selected the company's complete extrusion line, the core component being a ZE 75 A UTX twin-screw extruder with an adapted processing section length of 57 L/D that is designed for the demanding requirements of the in-situ TPE-V production.

The special phase morphology and the resulting physical proper ties of the final product are said to be decisively determined by the selected screw configuration, as well as by the shear and yield stress to which the material is subjected.

The line comprises the twin-screw extruder, three liquids and seven solids metering devices, a gear pump, a screen changer, as well as an underwater pelletizer.
