Composite Software Expands U.K. Operations as European Demand for Its Data Virtualization Grows.
SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Composite Software, Inc., the data virtualization leader, has expanded its U.K. operations to better meet growing European demand for its award-winning data virtualization solutions. Composite Software recently hired a new European Financial Services Sales Leader, Mike Singleton, who will be based in the U.K.
In the newly created position, Mr. Singleton will work with Composite Software's financial services customers, currently representing 10 of the top 20 global money center banks, as well as penetrate additional European-based financial institutions. Singleton's successful sales career includes executive positions at Oracle U.K., Computer Associates and Informix, as well as Workshare Limited and Ithena Limited.
"Large European enterprises are increasingly adopting Composite's data virtualization technology for projects as well as at an enterprise-wide scale," said Christian Nall, executive vice president, Worldwide Field Operations, Composite Software. "Mike's stellar experience with selling to European financial service institutions will be an asset as more financial service enterprises adopt Composite's industry-leading agile and cost-effective solution. We recognize the importance and scope of the growing European market, and are prepared to meet these expanding demands."
Composite Software's recent U.K. expansion is due to its successful growth of major European accounts in 2009. Switzerland-based pharmaceutical Novartis recently selected Composite's data virtualization middleware and services to enable its IT teams to quickly bring together disparate information systems for better business intelligence and decision-making. With the addition of Novartis, Composite Software is now the data virtualization solution of choice for six of the top ten pharmaceutical providers, three of Europe's top five money center banks, Europe's number three cellular phone provider, and Europe's top two integrated energy companies.
Composite Software also established key partnerships in 2009 with three U.K.-based systems integrators: Emunio Consulting Ltd., Evaxyx and Bishopsgate Financial. Composite Software also expanded its relationship with business development service provider, Gravitas Sales Associates, Ltd. Leading European resellers, including Janus-SI in France, Powerdata in Spain and Scicom which services Greece and the Balkans, have also partnered with Composite Software.
