Complaint filed over illegal photographing at Gezi shooting trial.

ySTANBUL (CyHAN)- A criminal complaint has been filed against the photographer who took a picture of a judge and prosecutor allegedly sleeping during Monday's hearing of a controversial trial of the killing of a protester.

The panel of judges in the case filed a complaint against the photographer, present during the third hearing of the trial concerning the death of Ethem SarysE-lE-k, a Gezi Park protester who was fatally shot by a police officer in Ankara during the protests in June, to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on the grounds that image and sound recordings are not permitted in the courtroom.

The third hearing of the SarysE-lE-k trial began at the Ankara 6th High Criminal Court on Monday. The trial was later referred to a superior court over doubts regarding the impartiality of the lower court's panel of judges. Following the controversial hearing, a picture of prosecutor Mustafa E[currency]ahin and Judge Cevdet Bak sleeping during the session circulated in social media, sparking outrage among the public. Following the revelation of the incident via social media, the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) has said it may investigate the judge and prosecutor.
