Company will help you find a holiday friend.

AN organisation based in Corwen is helping people around the world find someone to accompany them on their holidays.

Companions 2 Travel is a classic example of a fast-growing international business made possible by the internet.

The company's website has created a global community of people who like to travel but whose circumstances mean they do not have someone to share the experience.

Launched by Nathan Green and Rhys Taylor, with two staff, Companions 2 Travel helps lone travellers get in touch with like-minded people to share a holiday or excursion. It emphasises it is not a dating agency.

More than 300,000 people a year visit and the service is growing at the rate of 100-150 members a week.

Because of its potential, the company has joined a high growth programme delivered by Entrepreneur Action on behalf of the Welsh Assembly government and part-financed by the European Union.

David Lush, EA's operations director for North and mid Wales said: "The programme is designed to provide fast-track support worth up to pounds 40,000 to companies with excellent potential."
