Airlines may still merge, United CEO says Despite the recent failed bid of US Airways Group to acquire Delta Air Lines, consolidation among domestic air carriers remains possible, United Airlines CEO Glenn Tilton said Thursday. "Nothing has changed, as far as I am concerned, in the context of the case for consolidation," Tilton said.
