United will hire up to 100 Denver workers. United Airlines says adding more ramp workers and gate agents at its Denver hub will help it operate more efficiently. Inaugural flight to China draws "airline geeks" United Airlines on Wednesday launched its inaugural flight from Washington Dulles International Airport to Beijing. The flight drew several "airline geeks," travelers who seek to be part of inaugural flights and other airline milestones. "I had this tremendous dilemma about which inaugural to take," said traveler Fran Jelley. "Washington-Beijing or Beijing-Washington. I figured the true inaugural was the first one, so I chose that.
