Embraer delivered 35 commercial aircraft in the second quarter led by 16 E-190s. It also delivered seven E-195s, seven E-170s, three E-175s and two ERJ-145s. For the first half it delivered 67 commercial aircraft led by 33 E-190s and 13 E-195s. Jul 9, 2009

Mesa Air Group announced that the US Court of Appeals upheld an injunction against Delta Air Lines preventing it from canceling Mesa subsidiary Freedom Airlines' contract to fly 22 ERJ-145s for Delta Connection. Delta cited operational problems, but the court ruled, "The evidence showed that Delta induced Mesa to agree to Delta's coordinated cancellations by promising not to count such cancellations against it," Reuters reported. Embraer confirmed yesterday that three E-190s originally announced Tuesday as part of a fleet renewal by Algeria's Tassili Airlines never were finalized and that "specific conditions" requested by Tassili were not agreed to by the Brazilian manufacturer. "Embraer was disqualified from the public bid" by Tassili for new aircraft, the manufacturer said. Jul 10, 2009

Algerian oil company Sonatrach subsidiary TassiliAirlines said on Wednesday it had not awarded Brazilian planemaker Embraer a USD 104.68 million deal, Algerian official news agency APS said a day after an official statement announced the contract. Jul 8, 2009

Tassili Airlines parent Groupe Sonatrach released a statement yesterday saying that an order for three E-190s announced on Tuesday has not been confirmed but that it did plan to sign a contract yesterday with Boeing for four 737-800s worth USD 228.4 million. Jul 9, 2009

U.S. aircraft maker Boeing and Brazilian planemaker Embraer have won deals worth a total of USD 333 million to supply Algeria's oil company Sonatrach subsidiary with seven planes, Sonatrach said on Tuesday. Boeing secured an USD 228.5 million deal to sell to Tassili Airlines, an affiliate of Sonatrach, four 150-seat planes, Sonatrach said in a statement on its website. Jul 7, 2009

Embraer has handed over a Legacy 600 executive jet to Dubai-based charter and management company Titan Aviation. The aircraft was acquired by an undisclosed customer and will be managed and operated by Titan Aviation for the exclusive private use of its owner. The 13-passenger super-midsize aircraft is the second Legacy 600 in Titan's fleet, which in 2012 will incorporate a Lineage 1000 super-large business jet. Jul 7, 2009

New Embraer 175 operator TRIP Linhas Aereas is targeting a fleet at least 30 of the twinjets within four years, and is also eyeing an order for ATR 72s this year. Last month the Brazilian regional carrier took delivery of the first three of five E-175s it has on firm order, along with 10 options and 15 purchase rights. Jul 6, 2009
