American Airlines, a unit of AMR Corp.on Wednesday reported that traffic in April fell 3.3% as capacity decreased 3.7%. Load factor, or the percentage of the plane filled with passengers, rose 0.4 percentage points to 82.1%. Additionally, AMR's American Eagle said that traffic in April fell 2.6% while capacity dropped 2.4%. Load factor decreased 0.2 percentage points to 74.2%, the carrier said. May 2, 2007

American Airlines is the launch customer for Boeing 767-300ER blended winglets produced by Aviation Partners Boeing , the airline announced. AA will remove an aircraft from service and lease it to APB for an eight-month flight test certification program beginning in January.
