AirTran Airways: First Day of Flight in St. Louis with Fresh Budweiser Beer AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., today announced that it will serve Budweiser and Bud Light with a same-day born-on date on all flights to and from St. Louis on May 8th. Anheuser-Busch, the St. Louis- based company that brews Budweiser products, delivered the fresh beer in honor of AirTran Airways' new service to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, which begins today. Midwest, AirTran executives discuss bid at investor conference Midwest Airlines CEO Tim Hoeksema said he supported the board's decision in April to reject a $389 million purchase bid by AirTran Airways. Hoeksema made the remarks at an industry conference in New York on Wednesday. AirTran President Bob Fornaro also spoke and said AirTran believes many Midwest shareholders support the bid.
