Compact UV transilluminator extends filter life.

Spectronics Corp.'s Slimline Series UV transilluminator is a space-saver, which makes it-convenient for today's crowded research lab-oratories. It measures 11 x 14 x 2 1/4" (29.2 x 35.6 x 5.7 cm)--the size of the average lap-top yet it has virtually all the features of larger, more expensive transilluminators. The transilluminator delivers a typical peak 312 nm intensity of 9,000 W/c[m.sup.2] at the filter surface. It's suited for visualization and photodocumentation of mini gels. A diffusing screen ensures enhanced light distribution and eliminates confusing light striations caused by the contours of the tubes. Spectronics Corp. www.spectroline.com, 516-333-4840
