CompUSA INC. TO ENTER CLEVELAND MARKET IN SEPTEMBER WITH THIRD OHIO SUPERSTORE; NINE STORES ADDED DURING FY 1994 FIRST QUARTER

 DALLAS, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- CompUSA Inc. (NYSE: CPU), America's largest Computer Superstore retailer, announced today that with the Sept. 11 opening of its third Ohio computer superstore in the Cleveland suburb of Beachwood, the company will have opened nine new superstores and relocated one other during the first quarter of its current fiscal year that ends in June 1994.
 The company will have 57 superstores in operation in 32 major metropolitan markets across the United States.
 "We have established the structure to open 30 new CompUSA Computer Superstores in total by June 1994 to ensure our continued leadership of large-format computer retailing," said Nathan Morton, chairman and chief executive officer of CompUSA. "We currently expect to open at least as many superstores during the second quarter as we did in the first. Many of them will be positioned to strengthen our competitive position in existing markets, but we will also enter a number of new markets during the second quarter."
 CompUSA Computer Superstores offer more than 5,000 products, including microcomputer hardware, software, accessories and related items at deep-discount prices to retail, business, governmental and institutional customers. The Superstores, open seven days a week, also maintain technical departments and classroom training facilities.
