Community clean-up.

YOUNG people on Anglesey helped clean up their neighbourhood over the half term.

Youngsters from Benllech and members of Pentraeth Youth Club took part in the activities organised by Anglesey Council's Tenant Participation Team, Youth Outreach Worker and PCSO Iona Beckmann.

Activities included a painting and renovation project of Waundirion, Benllech Communal Lounge. They also had a community clean-up day in Pentraeth where, with the support of Keep Wales Tidy and Tidy Towns, the young people helped clear litter and pathways around the estate for the older tenants.

During the final day of their school holidays the young people helped to run a coffee afternoon for senior citizens at Ysgol Gynradd Pentraeth with the help of PCSO Beckmann.

By taking part they have gained hours for a Community Pride Award.
