Committee of Martyrs of Revolution "alone entitled to draw up official list of martyrs" (Ministry).

BARDO (TAP) - "The Committee of Martyrs of the Revolution has the exclusive right to draw up the official list of martyrs and wounded of the Revolution," the Ministry of Human Rights and Transitional Justice said in a statement released Thursday.

The Ministry's clarification comes in response to the controversy surrounding the publication of a list of martyrs by the National Fact-Finding Committee on abuses during events of the Revolution.

"The Government is committed to energise all decisions announced including granting free-treatment and free-transportation cards, said the Ministry, adding that procedures for the travel of the wounded to receive care abroad will be finalised in a week.

A draft law on direct recruitment in the public service of wounded of the Revolution and a person from each martyrs' family will be implemented after its approval by the Constituent Assembly, adds the Ministry.
