Building permits issued for April 8-14

A $1,400,000 addition permit was issued on deferred submittal for a revision to the lighting scope of the Providence Park expansion project at 1844 S.W. Morrison St. The applicant is Dan Koch of Allied Works Architecture, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is the city of Portland.

A $1,824,500 addition permit was issued for the replacement of existing top-mounted antennas at 5516 S.W. Barnes Road. The applicant is Gray Haertig of Gray Frierson Haertig & Associates, the contractor is Radio Tower Co., and the owner is Irving, Texas-based Nexstar Broadcasting Inc.

Five alteration permits with a combined value of $550,000 were issued for improvements to an apartment complex at 17225 S.E. Alder St. The scope of work includes siding and window replacement, new exterior lights, and site improvements. The applicant is Jenelle Andrew of Merryman Barnes Architects, the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is Home Forward.

A $1,217,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement to convert a former restaurant building at 14601 S.E. Division St. to a medical clinic. The applicant is Chris Spurgin of Christopher Spurgin Architect, the contractor is Veridis Construction Inc., and the owner is Planned Parenthood of the Columbia Willamette Inc.

A $555,440 alteration permit was issued for shell improvements to a building at 2800 S.E. Division St., including a voluntary full seismic retrofit and exterior remodel. The applicant is David Hardister of Woodblock Architecture, the contractor is Deacon Construction, and the owner is Wireless Connection LLC.

A $2,460,000 new construction permit was issued for a new three-story, 12-unit apartment building at 425 N.E. Bryant St. The applicant is Adrian Vasile of owner Urban Development Group, and the contractor is AV Pacific LLC.

A $597,241 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for windows and doors on Mill Creek Residential Trust's Modera Glisan mixed-use project at 1430 N.W. Hoyt St. Another permit, valued at $345,000, was issued on deferred submittal for storefront systems. The applicant is Dustin Simonis of contractor MCRT PNW Construction LLC, and the owner is Glisan Apartments LLC.

A $1,450,000 new construction permit was issued for a new three-story, 19-unit apartment building at 435 N.E. Church St. The applicant is Nathan Day of Wright Architecture, the contractor is Team Construction, and the owner is Hedrick Ventures LLC of Norco, California.

A $1,029,134 new construction permit was issued for a three-story, 12-unit apartment building at 1505 N. Humboldt St. The applicant is Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits, the contractor is TJ Nisbet Construction, and the owner is Alpina Properties LLC.

Four new construction permits with a combined value of $1,463,991 were issued on deferred submittal for multiple scopes of work on the 15-story Hyatt Centric hotel under construction at 601 S.W. 11th Ave. The applicants are Samantha Bakke and Maddy Haut of contractor Mortenson, and the owner is Portland Hotel Properties LLC of Chicago.

Building permit intakes for April 8-14

A $7,421,230 addition permit is under review for grading work associated with excavation and surcharge for a new warehouse at 13333 N. Rivergate Blvd. The applicant is Ryan Weston of Mackenzie, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is Port of Portland (Leased Georgia-Pacific Consumer Product (Northwest) LLC).

A $635,000 addition permit is under review for the remodel of a kitchen space at David Douglas High School at 1001 S.E. 135th Ave. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, the contractor is Cormack Construction Company Inc., and the owner is School District #40.

A $905,000 alteration permit sought on deferred submittal is under review for attachment of equipment at 221 S.E. Ankeny St. The applicant is Nathan Clark of contractor Fortis Construction, and the owner is 224 Fifth Madison Park LLC of Los Angeles.

A $1,245,240 alteration permit is under review for exterior renovations to a former Con-way office building at 2151 N.W. Savier St. The applicant is Richard Dobrot of GBD Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is Slabtown JV LLC of Dallas, Texas.

A $3,116,000 alteration permit is under review for replacement of hypochlorite piping, wash water piping and supports at the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant at 5001 N. Columbia Blvd. The applicant is Jennifer Coker of the Portland Bureau of Environmental Services, the contractor is Record Steel & Construction Inc., and the owner is the city of Portland.

A $1,581,493 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, 28-unit modular apartment building at 6716 N.E. Garfield Ave. The applicant is Nathan Ember of Ink:Built Architecture, and the owners are BD Lenz Properties LLC and MJP Holdings LLC; no contractor is listed.

Three new construction permits with a combined value of $10,850,742 are under review for a three-building multifamily development at 3140 S.W. 12th Ave., including: $967,396 for a three-story, eight-unit building; $3,836,082 for a five-story, 24-unit building; and $6,047,264 for a five-story, 40-unit building. The applicant is Gabe Headrick of Steelhead Architecture, the contractor is BC Custom Construction Inc., and the owner is Scotia Market St Gains LLC of Tucson, Arizona.

Facility permits issued for April 8-14

A $1,287,356 alteration permit was issued for tenant improvements for OEG at 3200 N.W. Yeon Ave. The applicant is Chad Ethridge of SUM Design Studio + architecture, the contractor is Pacific Creste Structures Inc., and the owner is JBJ Holdings II LLC. A $325,860 mechanical alteration permit was also issued for the project. The contractor is Willamette HVAC LLC.

A $1,653,466 alteration permit was issued for improvements to the lobby area of the Columbia Square building at 111 S.W. Columbia St. The applicant is Erica Thompson of Hennebery Eddy Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Co., and the owner is Columbia Square LLC.

A $564,671 grading permit was issued for grading of a site at 10350 N. Time Oil Road in preparation for future commercial development. The applicant is Matt Pittam of contractor Kerr Contractors, and the owner is Millican Properties LLC.

Facility permit intakes for April 8-14

A $1,600,000 alteration permit is under review for landlord work on all floors of a former Con-way office building at 2151 N.W. Savier St. The applicant is Michelle Schulz of GBD Architects, the contractor is Fortis Construction, and the owner is Slabtown JV LLC. A $400,000 mechanical permit is also under review for the project; the contractor is out to bid.

A $600,000 mechanical alteration permit is under review for improvements to Providence Portland Medical Center at 4805 N.E. Glisan St. The applicant is Amanda Botway of owner Providence Health Services-Oregon, and the contractor is Harder Mechanical Contractors.
