Global Banking News - 10 September 2014

Commercial banks in Cleveland are to reissue cards following reports of a card breach.

After Home Depot confirmed that customers' credit and debit cards were hacked over a five-month period, commercial banks in the region have started reissuing debit and credit cards.

While some banks said that they would charge a replacement fee if customers request a change of cards, others have said that they would offer free cards to customers.

Some big banks have replaced cards without clients specifically asking for a change.
