Comedy has raw twist.

LIVERPOOL venues Rawhide and Ricky Tomlinson's Greenroom have teamed up to bring audiences a new comic new venture labelled Pick 'n' Mix.

They bill it as a series of events matching traditional comics with modern acts. And the innovative joint organising team promise the comedians will be 'hand-picked' to provide a blend of styles to suit one and all.

A recent gig including popular acts Willie Miller, Lenny Anderson, Brendan Riley and Mike Wilkinson went down well. And on March 4 Pauline Daniels, Mickey Finn, George Egg and Steve Gribbin are on the bill.

Then April 1 sees Lindzi Germain, Chris McCauseland, Pete Price and Jamie Sutherland sharing the stage.

All the events take place at the Greenroom on Liverpool's Duke Street, a venue which only opened last year.

Rawhide's Iain Christie said: "Greenroom is already a very successful venue with a great mix of shows. The audience there is slightly different to our current crowd so we can't wait to introduce them to some of the guys from our circuit."
