Colorado Nurses Association honors outstanding nurses.

At a festive luncheon on October 22, 2011, outstanding nurses were honored by the Colorado Nurses Association. Several District Nurses Associations honored their DNA Nurses of the Year. DNA 3 recognized Carole Mutzebaugh, DNA 4 recognized Linda Skoff, DNA 6 recognized Martin Dineen, DNA 9 recognized Vicki Carroll, DNA 20 recognized Norma Tubman and DNA 23 recognized Lois Steffonich.

The Virginia Paulson Award, which honors a registered nurse who has been in practice for no more than 10 years, was presented to Amanda Clerkin. The Outstanding Contributions at the DNA Level Award recipient was Carole Mutzebaugh. The Outstanding Contributions at the State Level Award was given to Eve Hoygaard. The award for Sustained Contributions to Colorado Nurses Association was presented to David Rodriguez. The DNA of the Year award for 2011 went to DNA 20.

Congratulations to all of these award recipients. Their hard work and commitment to our profession and our professional association makes them most deserving of this recognition.
