Colorado Mountain Estate to Sell in J.P. King Auction.

DILLON, Colo. -- AMBAR founder Randolph Moity's Rocky Mountain home overlooking beautiful Lake Dillon will sell in a J.P. King auction Thursday, March 16. The auction will begin at 11 a.m. (MT).

The Summit County home was built to make the most of the surrounding views, which also include the Continental Divide, Peaks 1-5 of the 10-Mile range from Frisco to Breckenridge, Keystone Mountain and Golf Course, and Buffalo Mountain, according to Craig King, president of J.P. King.

"While most Colorado homes have mountain views, very few combine the views of the mountains and the lake the way this one does," said King. "It has a huge deck off the great room with an open fire pit, and every bedroom has access to decks looking out over the scenery."

Moity said the idea of selling at auction appealed to his basic approach to business.

"I enjoyed a lot of success in the oil and gas services industry because we were aggressive. We went to our customers rather than waiting on them to come to us. We've decided to sell our home, and it will be done on March 16. The bidders will determine the price, but we set the timeline," said Moity.

The home, designed by the Baker Hogan Houx architectural firm in Breckridge, Colo., was built in 1989-1990. Built on multiple levels, it features a high-capacity elevator, high vaulted ceilings, a 21-foot wet bar, library and dual wine cellars for red and white wines.

Real estate auctions, including auctions of mountain homes, ranches, mansions, land, condominiums and other properties, are growing in popularity nationwide.

Individuals interested in more information about the auction may contact J.P. King at 800.558.5464 or visit the company's web site at www.jpking.com.

J.P. King, headquartered in Gadsden, Ala., is the nation's largest auctioneer of mansions, ranches, land, condominiums and other high-value properties. Recent sales include Mike Hampton's mansion in Evergreen, Colo., and development land in Ft. Collins, Colo., and Harrisburg, Pa.
