Collin Rural; CLUB REPORTS.

Collin SWI has resumed meetings after the summer break.

New president Anne Henderson welcomed members back and introduced the speaker, Janet Shuchardt who bought along her daughter Lina.

Together they prepared and presented the most delicious chicken casserole (turkey or guinea fowl can also be used) and a tongue tingling lemon cheese cake topped with lemon curd and meringue.

All the members had a wee taste and were sent home with both recipes.

The competition entries were judged by the guest speaker and the results are as follows - Meat loaf: 1 Ann McCall; 2 Susan Meadows; 3 Edith Gilston Wine glass: 1 Maralyn Drinnan; 2 Elma Hogg; 3 Eileen Smith. Flower of the month: was a very large sunflower grown by Susan Meadows.
