College student news.

The following local students were named to the fall semester dean's list at Villanova University in Villanova, Pa.:

Megan Burke, Westboro, studying accountancy and information systems in the Villanova School of Business; Scott Goodwin, Shrewsbury, studying political science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Evan Kullberg, Westboro, studying astronomy and astrophysics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Mary McDermott, Westboro, pursuing a bachelor's degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Tyler Ridley, Westboro, is studying finance in the Villanova School of Business; David Lawler, Westboro, studying political science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Katrina Schmitt, Northboro, pursuing a bachelor's degree in the College of Engineering; Stephanie Trimboli, Northboro, studying biology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; and Ariana Weihn, Shrewsbury, studying accountancy and information systems in the Villanova School of Business.

To qualify for the dean's list, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5.

John Rekemeyer of Shrewsbury graduated in the fall from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the College of Liberal Arts.

Brittany T. Chin, daughter of Ricardo and Danielle Chin of Shrewsbury, was named to the fall semester dean's list at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she is a first-year student. Students whose grade point average is 3.67 or higher are named to the dean's list.

Kelley Scholl of Northboro graduated from the University of Delaware in Newark on Jan. 6.

The following local students were named to the fall semester dean's list at Loyola University Maryland:

Caitlyn Conlin, class of 2013, Shrewsbury; Rachel Dooley, class of 2016, Shrewsbury; Kathleen Egan, class of 2015, Shrewsbury; Sara Figueiredo, class of 2015, Shrewsbury; Nicholas Henn, class of 2016, Northboro; and Julianne Tournas, class of 2016, Westboro. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits.

Rachel Spring, the daughter of Howard and Carolyn Spring of Westboro, was inducted into the Thoroughbred Honor Society at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Feb. 11. Skidmore's Thoroughbred Honor Society recognizes varsity student-athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.67 or higher during the previous semester.
