College quartet help England Women to defeat Army side; RUGBY.
LOUGHBOROUGH College rugby players helped England Women run in five tries to defeat Army Women 35-5. Head coach Jo Yapp selected Bryony Field, Ellen Ramsbottom, Anya Richmond and Amelia Harper for the squad, with fellow College student Jodie Mallard as non-playing reserve, to face the Army at the Army Rugby Stadium in Aldershot.
Bryony, Ellen, Anya and Amelia were all amongst the starting XV with Ellen, Bryony and Anya all wearing the England shirt for the first time.
A try from Amelia in the first half helped England secure their win.
The five Loughborough College players, who are also part of Women's Premiership side Loughborough Lightning, joined a four-day training camp with England in January ahead of being named for the squad.
England Women U20 will now look ahead to home and away fixtures against France Women U20 in March.
