College planning? More than money.

I enjoyed reading and participating in the November 2007 article on 529 college savings plans ("Classroom Cash"). It was well-written and very informative. One thought: Saving for college is just one aspect of planning for college, and I think BLACK ENTERPRISE would do our community a great service by publishing an annual college planning issue.

A solid college plan will integrate aspects of saving, investing, taxes, income level, financial aid eligibility, loans, employee/employer benefits, and retirement. No other mainstream financial publication really covers education planning from the African American perspective, and I think an annual issue with current information would be a best-seller and expand your loyal base of educated readers. It's also the right thing to do.
