College offering training on HIPs.

A NORTH East college has become the first in the region to offer accreditation

for domestic energy assessors.

City of Sunderland College responded to the need to provide training for assessors when Home Information Pack (HIP) legislation was passed by the Government.

Domestic energy assessors are required to produce Energy Performance Certificates, which are a part of the HIPs.

Assessors inspect properties to collect information on their heating systems, age and building type and give advice on how to improve the energy efficiency Call Diane Rutter on (0191) 511 6532 or visit www.citysun.ac.uk
