College Financial Aid Services.

College Financial Aid Services Owners: Michael E. and Kim McGeorge Address: 10 Vantage Point, Maumelle, 851-7004 Start-up Date: April 1

Michael and Kim McGeorge offer a computer service that helps high school seniors and would-be college students obtain financial aid.

McGeorge says the service matches a student's needs and interests with a comparable source of funding. Scholarships, loans, part-time jobs and day-care services for single parents are among the available solutions.

This type of service attracted McGeorge and his wife because of the low start-up costs -- around $1,000 -- and the opportunity to help people.

Currently, the business is advertised in the Arkansas Democrat and the Maumelle Monitor. McGeorge hopes to expand his advertising to include Arkansas high school newspapers.
