This series of programs features three circus celebrities who will share their stories and discuss the books they have written about what goes on before the curtain goes up. Behind the glitz and glamour of Center Ring, there is a great deal of hard work by performers, promoters, and other professionals. A reception and book signing will follow each program.
PAUL BINDER, FROM JUGGLER TO CIRCUS DIRECTOR

Paul Binder, juggler and author, began performing with a variety of troupes, including the Pickle Family Circus. He was instrumental in opening the New York School for the Circus Arts and its performance arm, the Big Apple Circus.

In a career that spans 70 years, and still counting, Ward has earned the title of King of the Sideshow. He has owned and operated sideshows, illusion shows, animal shows and magic shows that have thrilled audiences for generations.
