Colibria launches Companion IM Gateway.
Colibria AS, a developer of mobile Instant Messaging and Presence Service technology platforms, is unveiling the Colibria Companion IM Gateway at 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
According to the company, the Colibria Companion IM Gateway is based on certified access to such messaging services as MSN, Yahoo!, ICQ and AIM, but also provides an XMPP-based server-to-server solution for the operator's own, or third-party services using the Jabber/GoogleTalk protocol. The solution can be either hosted by Colibria or deployed in the operator network.
The Colibria Companion IM Gateway reportedly supports such functions as: adherence to the MSN IM Gateway test cases; send/receive individual IM; view contacts; support for multiple groups; set presence status; emoticons; automatic provisioning on gateway.
No pricing details were disclosed.
