Cold winter day.

William Holmes, Grade 3

May Street School, Worcester

In the winter I like to go outside and play but first I have to dress warmly. When it's cold and chilly I wear a coat, hat, mittens and boots. Sometimes I have a snowball fight with my sister and dad. When I get too cold I go inside and play Minecraft or other video games until I warm up. I also like to play card games like "Go Fish.'' Later, I'll go back outside and build a snowman or make snow angels with my sister. So that's what I like to do in the winter!

I like a cold winter day. First, I like a cold day so I can build a snowman. After that, I make a castle out of snow. Next, we have a snowball fight. Soon, I go to look at the snow. How much snow? I can't count that snow. At last, my aunt comes to tell the kids to come inside. I feel really cold on a cold winter day!

I like a cold winter day. First, I go sledding at Bigelow Park. Next, I go home. Then my brother and I play snowball fights. At last, we drink hot chocolate. Then we go to play on our DS and Ipod. Now you know why I like a cold winter day!

When I want to go out on a cold winter day the first thing I have to do is put on all my warmest clothes. I wear a hat, gloves, a scarf, snow pants, and boots. Then, I'm ready for the snow! When I get outside I like to make snow angels and then just play around in the snow. I stay out for a long time and then I come inside and change my clothes. Sometimes I have to put my feet in hot water just to warm them up. Then I put on warm socks, drink hot cocoa and watch TV.

Thi Ly, Grade 3

Before I go out on a cold winter day I have to dress warmly. So first, I put on tight pants and then long socks over them. Next, I put on another pair of pants, 2 shirts, boots and a heavy coat. When I get outside I like to jump and roll around in the snow. I try to make a snow angel but I usually fail, because I have to stand up in the middle of it. I also like to go sledding on a big hill in the winter. So you can see I have a great time on a cold winter day!

Alexandria Dupont, Grade 3

Kane School, Marlboro

I like a cold winter day. First, we put a lot of clothes on. After that, we go on a sled. Next, we start a snowball fight. Soon, Ana lost her boot in the snow. At last, we tried to find it. We didn't find it until the snow melted in the spring. Then we went back to the mobile home. I hope Ana won't lose her boot this year!

Sibora Ushe, Grade 3

May Street School, Worcester

On cold winter days I like to sleep in late. Then I get up and have breakfast before going outside to help my mom shovel. First though, I have to put on my sweater, snow pants, hat, gloves, scarf, boots and a coat. Then I go outside and start to shovel the driveway and stairs so that the mailman has a clear pathway. After that my brother and I have a snowball fight. The next thing we do is build a snowman. I go and look for a nose and eyes, while my brother looks for sticks for his arms. Once our snowman is built then we go sliding down the hill in our yard. After we have been outside for awhile my mom makes us some hot chocolate with marshmallows. Then we sit by the fire to warm up while we watch a movie on TV.
